Conference Presentation on Collaboration, Technology, and Education

For any who are interested, I am presenting at a conference in Vancouver on Friday. My talk is Thursday morning at 10:30am. I am planning to video the presentation and upload it to YouTube, but for those who are viewing the presentation and want a copy of it, I have uploaded it here as well.

  1. Update for what our teachers and admins in the talk said were problems with collaborative work:
    1) Focusing on task (playing)
    2) how do you assess it (what do you assess) - process, content? individual, group?
    3) Personality - values and playing roles (leaer, follower)
    4) structure, setup of classroom (and groups)
    5) ESL students (culture, background)
    6) Time to do the project

Nice stuff! Yes, these are all problems. I hope that some of the stuff we mentioned in the talk were addressed. I know not all of them were, but let's keep looking and learning! Perhaps, as Christian Klause mentioned in their talk (@Cklause) on his talk on Twitter and Blogs for PLN's, we can continue this talk!
